Description

The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) will hold the 24th Annual Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship Awards Dinner at the National Press Club in Washington on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, to introduce this year’s Novak Fellowship winners and honor Brian Lamb, founder of C-SPAN, with the Thomas L. Phillips Career Achievement Award, and Heather Mac Donald, the Thomas W. Smith Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, with the Kenneth Y. Tomlinson Award for Outstanding Journalism. More than 200 prominent journalists and guests will gather for a gala evening to celebrate the best in American journalism.

ABOUT THE NOVAK FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Novak Journalism Fellowship Program was launched in 1994 to nurture a new generation of responsible journalists. Legendary journalist Robert Novak provided the inspiration for the program, which was named in his honor folloiwng his passing in 2009.

The Novak Fellowship Program has awarded more than 130 fellowships over the past two decades. Novak Fellows include Steve Hayes of The Weekly Standard and Fox News, Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist, Katherine Mangu-Ward of Reason and Tim Carney of the Washington Examiner.
